Just beat it with all seven emeralds as Sonic. Epic game. Really well developed, and unlike a lot of members at the SRB2 forums, I'm not disappointed at all. I'm exceptionally pleased.

Same here, it has VERY unique gameplay! And some origional ideas, And I haven't gotten past the second castle eggman yet XD

I'm disappointed by the multiplayer. Seriously, the waeapon system is way too complicated and sucks to my mind. Okay, the new weapons may be awesome, but the collecting and ammo thingy is just overdone. And you can't combine the weapon rings, which was the coolest thing yet! Why, Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai?
Secondly, it doesn't support OpenGL and I just love OpenGL because it makes the graphics so much better. They also removed a couple of good multiplayer maps (like why add Jade Valley and remove a cool zone like ZIMs Base?) and I'll certainly miss the old CEZ zones.
The chaos emerald is ok though, I'm glad they added a little challenge to it.
Arid canyon zone is COOL, the gameplay in it is COOL, the new enemies are COOL, and the music is way past COOL. Egg rock zone on the other hand is AWESOME and it makes Techno Hill zone look very, VERY bad.
Oh, and I like the new Red Volcano. Nice graphical and gameplay-wise improvement.
So, my opinion would basically be like... 4/10 because there's obviously stuff they can do better (which they proved in the last version).

I agree 100% with the above post! I Loved the old weapon system, and also I loved the old version of all the multiplayer maps. Although the new ones have neat features like tumbleweeds ect. I still love the old version of every map, The singleplayer is perfection my opinion but I loved the old muiltiplayer system.
